Entering Petra, through the Siq, you will arrive at the famous Treasury.  One of the reasons, Petra is one of the seven wonders of the world, is The Treasury - the most famous facade in Petra. More than 800 statues, facades, temples, the Roman theater, tombs, caves, and more... Unforgettable experience in ancient architecture. The Nabateans inhabited Petra over 2000 years ago, and prospered from building a water conduit system. Water was sold to the passing caravans,merchants, and travelers.  After the earthquake in 363 A.D., Petra fell into a decline. Not having enough resources to rebuild it, people left Petra.

Day 1:

08:10 – pick up from your hotel in Eilat

08:30 – cross the border and drive to Petra

10:30 – start the touring day

15:30 – lunch at local restaurant

17:00 – check in to your hotel and free evening  

Day 2:

09:00 – free time to explore Petra or surrounding markets

16:30 – pick up from hotel and drive to Wadi Rum for observation and pictures

18:30 – Arrival to Aqaba

19:00 – drive to border and passport control

• Very warm clothing in winter, cool comfortable clothing + head covering in summer.
