Itinerary Petra and Aarons tomb 2 days


This is a special tour for traditional observers.

Petra is located on the far side of Wadi Musa.  The way is through a long path called the Siq, which at the end of, is the famous Treasury also called Al Khazneh.  The Nabateans prospered in Petra from collecting water in the cisterns that they built.  There is a temple still being excavated, the Winged Lions Temple, in addition to that, there is so much to tour in Petra.  There are many facades, temples, even a Roman theater. Tour Aarons' Tomb where it is said that he was burried.  Aaron was the brother of Moses, and this is a very holy site.


Day 1: 


At 08:15 pick up from your hotel or the airport in Eilat.  Drive to the Arava border, and complete border proceedings.  Drive to Petra, and start the tour at the Visitors Center. Enter the Petra nature reserve and a take a short horse ride (those who wish to do so). After taking pictures we will arrive at our ultimate destination, the ancient and picturesque city of Petra. Walk through the Siq to enter the site of Petra.  Tour Petra for 3-4 hours with your guide.

At noon we will have lunch at a restaurant.  
If there is any time left towards the afternoon we will leave Petra and travel back towards Aqaba to tour the city.  
At about 7 pm we will cross the border back into Israel.
Those who have difficulty walking can hire a donkey drawn buggy for an extra fee from the local people.


Day 2


Early morning rise,and take a two hour walk and climb Jebel Haroon, where Aaron's Tomb is situated. At the visitors' center you can obtain a map.  The Jordanians will not climb with you to Aarons Tomb.  This climb you will do on your own. There will be a time about 16:30 to meet with the driver for your return transfer to Eilat. Return back to Eilat about 19:00

What you need to know:


  • Have a valid passport and landing card
  • We require nationality, passport number, date of issue, expiry date and birth date for reservation
  • Voucher and visa/tax/tip money in cash only (payable in U.S. dollars, Euro,
  • Pound Sterling or Israeli Shekel)
  • Very warm clothing in Winter, cool comfortable clothing and head covering in
  • Summer
  • Good waking shoes
